The Field Services Department (previously know as the Logisitics or Courier services) at Sanford Laboratories is one of the "central hubs" of our operation. Experienced professionals are available to take your phone calls regarding field services and providing supplies for proper specimen collection and transport. |

Along with in-town pickup and delivery in Sioux Falls, we serve physicians, clinics, hospitals, and long term care facilities in a four-state region.

Recognizing the importance of prompt result reporting, Sanford Laboratories operates an extensive network, logging over 1,000,000 miles per year.
Our professional Field Service representatives follow special procedures in the following areas to ensure quality and safe transport of your specimens:
- sorting specimens, the first step to ensure proper specimen integrity and transport
- tracking specimens, from pickup at your facility to delivery to our laboratory,
- maintaining original specimen integrity during transport, ensuring continued quality of your patients’ specimens
- transporting hazardous materials

Our Field Services vehicles are fully equippedto offer temperature-controlledconditions (including monitoredincubators) when transporting specimens.
Each Field Services representative carries a cell phone to ensure efficient relay of messages while en route.

All Field Services routes are carefully timed to provide convenient pickup times for each facility, as well as ensuring specimen delivery to Sanford Laboratories for prompt testing.
Our Field Services area presently includes South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska. Pre-addressed and postage-paid mailing containers are available for those areas that are most expediently served by the postal service.
