Competitive Bidding Repealed!
On July 15, 2008, the House and Senate overrode the President’s veto and competitive bidding for laboratory services was repealed! Laboratories will get a Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase, although laboratories had to give up 0.5% to pay for the Medicare updates Congress was giving the physicians.
